was held on the 10th September at our usual venue of Knole Park Golf Club, Sevenoaks.
26 players attended this years event including some who had not put in an appearance for some years including Steve MacDonald and Kevin Brophy. The weather forecast for the day was pretty dire and everyone turned up well equipped with waterproofs, umbrellas and changes of clothes. In the event it rained on and off for the first 40 minutes of the day but was dry and pleasant thereafter but with a strong gusting wind, particularly on the higher holes.
This was the 31st year that this event has been staged and the 27th year it has been held at Knole Park . Duncan Ponikwer won the Pride of Peaks Hill Trophy this year with a stableford score of 35 points, with Mike Drury runner up with 33pts. The Coughlan’s Challenge Shield foursomes competition was won by Terry McCarthy and Trevor Kelly with 37pts. Hamish Keith and Mike Drury were 2nd with 34pts.

The next event for golfers is on the 29th October 2004 , an individual stableford competition for The Woodcote Trophy, which was presented by the Ockenden family. This will be held at Woodcote Park Golf Club, the same venue as the dinner for the over 30 section held the same evening. Please let Colin de’Ath know if you are able to attend.
