War Memorial and exhibition area
The Scool are delighted to have been given enough money to build a war memorial on the school site, in a place where students will see it daily. We are aiming to have this built and ready to unveil on Founders day (14th March 2019).
The School are also delighted to be creating an exhibition area in the foyer of the Sir David Lane Building to show items donated by old boys of the school. This will include the Reeney families donations of war uniforms and medals, school prospectuses from the 1930’s and more recently, Kieran Treadwell’s rugby boots from his Ireland rugby debut.
If you would like to contribute towards either of these projects either through a financial donation or item donations, or simply want to find out more, please email adean10.319@johnfisherschool.org.
John Fisher School Sports Gala Dinner
With 6 tables already sold (out of 18) tickets are selling fast. I have had a few enquiries from individuals who are interested in getting a table together with former students in their year groups. If you left the school in 1956 or 1978, and are interested in attending, we can help create a table of former classmates. Just email adean10.319@johnfisherschool.org
Old Boys invited to Kennedy Cup (Friday December 21st)
The School would welcome any JFS Old Boys to join the Headteacher and rest of the school on Friday 21st December 2018. Arriving at 10am, you will have a tour of the school (including the new Sir David Lane Building, proposed site of the new war memorial and spiritual garden) before meeting the Headteacher whilst enjoying refreshments. You will then join the whole school for the end of term assembly and prize giving. If you are interested please email: adean10.319@johnfisherschool.org
