We have recently been informed of the passing of Kevin Prior, who left the School at the end of the Fifth Form in 1966.

Kevin is remembered with great affection by those who knew him, particularly by one of his closest school friends, who recalls first meeting him in the winter of 1965 after joining the School from Peru. Kevin was among the first boys to offer a warm welcome to the newcomer, helping him settle into school life and forging what would become a lifelong friendship.

The friendship extended far beyond the classroom. Together they enjoyed their school years and spent much of their free time around Purley, Coulsdon and Caterham, attending parties and social gatherings and creating many happy memories along the way.
Kevin remained one of his closest friends long after leaving school. We understand that sadly, after a period spent in Goa, he later returned to the UK, where he passed away in South Croydon in the early 1980s.
Though many years have passed, Kevin is remembered fondly for his friendship, kindness and companionship. His memory now takes its place in our Book of Remembrance, and we extend our thoughts to all who knew him.
May he rest in peace.
